Renault Kwid has crossed the landmark of 4 lakh sales milestone in the country. The French automaker has completed its 10 years of operation in India. The Vice President, Marketing & Sales of Renault India - Sudhir Malhotra handed over the 4,00,000th Kwid car to its owner. The company further claims that even after so many years of its launch, Renault Kwid continues to remain ‘a major disruptor’ in India’s mini-car segment. At present, Renault has more than 500 sales and 530 service touchpoints in the country. This further includes more than ‘250 Workshop on Wheels’ locations across India. 


Renault Kwid is available in a total of three basic trims namely RXE, RXL, and RXT along with the top-of-the-line Climber edition. The hatchback falls in the price range of Rs 4.06 lakhs - Rs 5.51 lakhs (ex-showroom). Performance-wise, the Kwid comes equipped with 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre SCE powertrains. Transmission duties are taken care of by manual and AMT gearbox. Talking about the Climber Edition, it is offered only with the 1.0-litre SCE engine. Besides this, the Climber Edition is available in dual-tone scheme with white color and black roof.

In terms of features, Renault Kwid gets the segment-first 8.0-inch touchscreen MediaNav evolution with Android Auto & Apple Carplay connectivity, floor console mounted AMT dial, electric ORVM, day/night IRVM, among many others. Moving on, Renault Kwid now comes equipped with dual front airbags as standard feature. This is in line with safety regulations issued by the Indian government. Earlier, when Renault Kwid was launched in 2016, it received a dismal one-star safety rating. Post which, the French car manufacturer made notable changes in the structure of the Kwid with an aim to improve its safety quotient.
